Addressing the nation on India's 68th Independence Day, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi urged the industry, especially the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of India, to manufacture goods in the country with "zero defects" and to ensure that the goods have "zero effect" on the environment. "We should manufacture goods in such a way that they carry zero defect and that our exported goods are never returned to us. We should manufacture goods with zero effect that they should not have a negative impact on the environment".

MSME Sustainable  
(ZED) Certification

The ZED MSME Certification scheme, launched by the Indian government under the Quality Council of India (QCI), aims to raise awareness among Micro, Small, & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) about Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) practices. It seeks to motivate and incentivize MSMEs to obtain ZED Certification while also fostering the emergence of MSME Champions.

Who Can Apply and How Can Apply For This ZED Schemes?

All MSMEs registered on the UDYAM portal (under the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) are eligible to participate in the MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification program and can avail themselves of the related benefits and incentives. on https://zed.msme.gov.in or you can contact with Geete Infosis 

Benefits/ Incentives for the MSMEs

Subsidy on Certification Micro Enterprises 80%, Small Enterprises 60%,  MediumEnterprises 50%, Women Owned Enterprises 100%, A limited-purpose, joining reward of Rs. 10,000 inr also provided by ZED, Financial support for Testing/Systems/Product Certification upto 50000 inr or 75 %, Up-to Rs.2 lakhs, for consultancy for all ZED certified MSMEs Subsidy on Cost of Handholding Micro- 80%, Small-60%, Medium-50% 
Subsidy on technology upgradation for Zero Effect Solutions upto 300000 inr,Graded incentives as prescribed by States, Financial Institutions, other Ministry/Depts etc., for the three ZED Certification Levels
